Schick Packaging ReDesign
This project focused on the reduction of packaging and waste. In the end, the packaging consisted of only a thin card stock, eliminating any plastic and minimizing waste. To make this active change in environmental focus clear to the audience, I wrapped the outside of the package in an organic paper. To add some playfulness, I used the hydration drop in a pattern in a womanly pink. Lastly, in an effort to include all of the text from the previous package, I included a small piece of paper to pop out when opened for the buyer to read more. This paper also acts as a means to hang the razor in stores. As challenging as this was, I really enjoyed this introduction to package design and I think the process is very humbling. Creating one prototype after another until everything is refined and makes sense is so satisfying in the end.
